Product Detailed Description
The Phoenix Contact RAD-2400-IFS (2901541) is an industrial wireless transceiver from the Radioline product family. It uses the 2.4 GHz frequency band and Trusted Wireless technology to provide reliable wireless communication between controllers, remote I/O stations, and serial devices. It supports point-to-point, star, and mesh network configurations, with networks accommodating up to 250 stations when configured through PSI-CONF software.The module supports three operating modes: I/O data transmission, serial data transmission, and PLC/Modbus RTU communication. Its integrated RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces allow connection to serial devices, while the RSMA female antenna connector provides the wireless connection. The wireless range can reach up to 5 km under clear line-of-sight conditions, depending on the antenna, data rate, and installation environment.Powered by 24 V DC, the RAD-2400-IFS can be expanded with up to 32 compatible I/O extension modules per wireless module. It is designed for DIN-rail installation and supports industrial applications requiring remote signal transmission, serial communication, and distributed control.
