Product Detailed Description

The Eaton MTL-5532 is a single-channel intrinsically safe pulse isolator designed to interface switches, proximity detectors, and pulse transmitters in hazardous areas with control and monitoring equipment in safe areas. It repeats input pulses to the safe area and provides a proportional 4–20 mA output for frequency measurement, making it suitable for pulse-rate and vibration-related monitoring applications.

The module supports a 20–35 V DC supply and can operate with different input types, including NAMUR proximity detectors and 2- or 3-wire pulse transmitters. Its pulse output supports frequencies up to 50 kHz, while the analog output supports frequencies up to 10 kHz. A configurable relay output can be used for alarms, and LED indicators provide power, status, and line-fault information.
