Product Detailed Description
The Eaton MTL HMP-HM64 is a HART multiplexer interface backplane designed for industrial instrument-management systems. It accommodates two MTL4850 or MTL4854 HART multiplexer modules, supporting up to 64 HART instrument channels per unit for monitoring and configuration of compatible smart field devices.
The backplane provides four 20-way ribbon-cable connectors for linking HART signals from compatible connection units, two RS-485 communication ports for connection to a maintenance workstation or additional interfaces, and redundant 24 V DC power inputs. Its DIN-rail carrier allows installation in control-room cabinets and supports expansion by daisy-chaining compatible interfaces.
