Product Detailed Description
The Pepperl+Fuchs R2-SP-IC12 is a fieldbus segment protector designed to connect and protect up to 12 field instruments on FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 or PROFIBUS PA networks. It distributes the fieldbus trunk signal to individual spur connections and helps isolate faults so that a short circuit or other spur-level fault is less likely to disrupt the remaining segment.The unit supports intrinsically safe Ex ic spur connections or non-incendive Division 2 applications, subject to the applicable system design and approvals. Integrated diagnostics provide power, communication, and error indications, while test points support troubleshooting. The design includes a trunk T-connector and a removable fieldbus terminator to simplify maintenance and network extension.
