The Siemens 6GK5101-1BB00-2AA3 is a SCALANCE X101-1 unmanaged Industrial Ethernet media converter designed to connect copper-based Ethernet equipment with fiber-optic industrial networks. It features one 10/100 Mbps RJ45 port and one 100 Mbps multimode BFOC fiber-optic port, enabling reliable Ethernet transmission over fiber links of up to 5 km, depending on the fiber used.The device provides LED diagnostics, an error-signaling contact with a set pushbutton, and redundant 24 V DC power supply connections. Its compact industrial design supports DIN rail, wall, and S7-300 rail mounting. It is suitable for extending industrial Ethernet connections, reducing electromagnetic interference exposure, and connecting distributed automation equipment over fiber-optic links.
