The Siemens 6GK7542-5FX10-0XE0 is a CP 1542-5 communication processor designed to connect SIMATIC S7-1500 PLC systems to PROFIBUS DP networks. It supports communication as a DPV1 master or DP slave, enabling data exchange between PLC controllers, distributed I/O devices and other PROFIBUS-compatible automation equipment.The module provides one PROFIBUS interface with a 9-pin D-sub RS485 connector and supports transmission rates from 9.6 kbit/s to 12 Mbit/s. It also supports S7 communication, PG/OP communication, time-of-day synchronization and diagnostic functions.The CP 1542-5 receives its operating power directly from the S7-1500 backplane bus. Its compact single-width design makes it suitable for integration into existing S7-1500 automation stations.
